{Discoveries} Fridays & Lovely Things

Another long week, full of outrageous weather & sadness for a beautiful country. With all this that flowed in, I really had to step back and let some positives come in, so it wouldn't bring me down so much. I think if you have positivity in your life, your more able to give it to those who are in need. And let's be honest Japan is really in need of love & caring after the loss of so many lives. Fill yourself up with love & positivity, then shine it on those in need, you could just be saving their lives. I just give thanks for being alive and safe and hope the same for those in need. So, these are the lovely things I discovered this week. Have a great weekend & remember to smile, laugh and love!!

Favourite scene of a movie loved as a teenager

{The Outsiders}
Taken from the book of the same name by S.E. Hinton, movie from 1983.
A must read book & see movie. About the importance of seeing things as a child, new and never letting that go, because there is still so much good in the world.
I still love this movie

Words of Wisdom

My Symphony

To live contently with small means...To seek elegance rather than luxury and refinement rather than fashion..To be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not rich...To study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly...To listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open heart...To bear all cheerfully, doll all bravely, await occasions, hurry never...In a word, to let the spiritual unbidden and unconscious grow up through the common...this is to be my symphony!

William Henry Channing
(1810-1884)

Music To soothe the soul

Despite tragedies, the world is beautiful. If we bind our hearts together, we can show this to those who have been left heartbroken and heal their pain. We belong to each other as human beings and there isn't anything one can't get through when there is someone else who cares for them.

Japanese Proverb: 'Fall down seven times, stand up eight'! Shows their persevering character.

Bird Watching

I'd really love one of these in my house, that clock on the bottom is exquisite!!

  18. Another wicked posting. I feel positive that Japan will come through this stronger. Like the birdcage with the clock, though I'd deinitely not have a bird in it, seems cruel.
