When you're blue

Hello dolls! Happy Wednesday to you..I hope your week has been faring well so far. Here has been bitter cold, but thankfully still no rain for us, so that makes me very pleased indeed. Someone asked me very kindly what exactly do I do when I am feeling down, since I seem to always be in a happy mood!?! Well, this is quite simple...I do have sad moments and down times like anyone else really, I just try and vent creatively really. I get out my paints or camera and express what I'm feeling that way - hence this picture, the product of a drained moment in time. Being creative and artsy always brings me around and makes me happier, the times I don't get to do something creative are usually the times I am feeling a little blue. I also like to do something nice for someone else - it helps me to see I am not alone in the world, sing, listen to music, read, watch my favourite movies, jump on my bed or if all else fails, have a good cry and let it all out and then I feel as fresh as a daisy soon after!! One needs down times to appreciate the good times, balance of it is good. Just try and let yourself feel it and work through it. The sun always comes out again at some point. Life is hard, so don't be too hard on yourself if you get down. Tell someone and let them take care of you!! A hug always brightens my day too!! But, never keep it to yourself and hold it inside, I've learned doing that will always, further down the road cause it to explode and become worse. I hope that has helped in some way!! Keep smiling, there are beautiful things in the world worth being happy for & the things that bring us down are sometimes things that aren't worth our time. But, if it gets more serious, make sure you talk to someone to let them know you are feeling low! Have a great day sweeties & know you can always talk to me on my twitter and facebook page about any sort of silliness and fun!!

Love, hugs and cupcakes!

{I painted my face with my glitter pots & my husband took the picture, then someone said I looked like the girl from Bladerunner, I hadn't seen the movie at the time, so I didn't know what they were talking about. But, I have since then and there is a little bit of a resemblance, but do see the movie, it's fantastic}

  1. You are such a doll, so true. People say I always seem happy too. Sure we can get done, but it does nothing but make you grey faster and i don't want that. So like you said if all else fails cry it out and put a smile on your face.
    I never want to see that pretty face cry though. HAPPY WEDNESDAY

  6. I totally agree with you, if it weren't for the down or sadder times we wouldn't appreciate as much the good times! :)

  16. "Just try and let yourself feel it and work through it" I think is is very good advice. Trying to mask over feeling blue is not a great thing and (as you said) might only make it worse in the long run. Great photo and a brilliant post. Have a lovely evening xo

  20. Kizzy, this is such wonderful advice. I always try and channel my sadness through writing things out or a hobby. Having good friends to talk to really does help. The worse you can do is fester it inside. There is always light at the end of the tunnel. Kizzy, that picture of you looks so good! Your makeup and hair is beautiful! I didn't even recognize you. What a transformation! You're so talented! That's ashame they don't have those chocolates there. :( Again, you are so uplifting. I'm so glad I got to know you! ((HUG))

  25. I like your remedies to being blue! It's easy to be blue in the winter, so it's good to have lots of things to do to snap out of it. LOVE your photo, I would not have made the Bladerunner connection, although it's one of my all-time favorite films! You look so pretty/exotic!!

  26. That's such a beautiful picture of you! And doing something creative with your sadness usually produces the most beautiful photos/paintings/music/poetry etc. So many people seem to be afraid of sadness tho...But if we couldn't feel a bit depressed sometimes, how could we then be able to appreciate feeling happy? Sometimes I even like feeling a bit sad. To just sink down into that bittersweet melancholia and let it be there for a while - until it flies away again, because it usually does... xo

  27. I was scrolling through the bladerunner video and I could not find the girl. I shall just look more at you then. lol.

    Thank you for the tips on being happy. You know, I practise lots of these too. Some of what you say are so applicable to me now. Recently, there have been some downs in my life but I allowed busy-ness to take my mind off these for now.
