The Giving Tree

Those who bring sunshine into the lives of others, cannot keep it from themselves.

Good Monday my bunnies!! I do hope the weekend was marvellous for all of you. Here, it was quiet and restful. Giving what a wonderful word, something that takes so little effort, yet often finds itself lost among the clouds. We give to seek something in return, not knowing the greatness that lies in giving, the warmth that comes from opening the heart to make another's life a bit easier in turn making ours' a little brighter too. In a world full of seekers and takers, the givers get lost and forgotten. But, giving is the strength, it has power to heal, to free, to love, to forget, to build. What we give to the world is what we create around ourselves. If we want a happy space, give and create a happy space. Yes, there can be those who take and take from our giving, but one needs simply to stand up for themselves with dignity and walk on never changing...just remaining the same. Never shaken, only stronger, smarter and brighter. When was the lat time you gave and didn't expect to receive? How did it make you feel? Lovely, I hope.  I wish you all a week full of giving and hope that what you gave comes back to you more than you imagined.

Love love
♥

p.s. this post was inspired because, I personally think there are a lot of bloggers who take a lot from others ('join my page, enter this', 'like this' please!) And not always a thank you or a giving back of the same - following, liking for example. And to be honest, there will always be those types. But, I just wanted to thank each of you for being here, this page would not exist without my beautiful readers, you make me laugh and encourage me without knowing it! I am thankful and humbled by it all & it's a pleasure to read all of your posts!! A BIG hug of love to you all!!
xoxo

“The value of a man should be measured on the basis of what he gives and not on what he receives. ” !!* Albert Einstein

Everybody can be great…because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.
Martin Luther King, Jr.

If you have much, give of your wealth. If you have little, give of your heart.

Arab Proverb.

Generosity isn’t giving to get more. It’s holding loose & letting go to be free.

  10. How beautiful! I was reminded of this today because my coworkers (who I never thought appreciated my work) gave me a little surprise party complete with cake and flowers! I was shocked and touched that I was able to help them and that they created this kind gesture!

  14. Giving is so important, and it is so easy to do. It can be as simple as giving a smile to a stranger or donating money to a charity. There are many ways to give!

  19. Always a beautiful post on Monday, and a great way to start off my week! Kizzie you always start with a theme and I love the quotes and pictures you find to illustrate it. The last time I gave and expected nothing in return was around the holidays...and now it is almost mid March. I need to work on that!

You know I love what I do, because I give many times a day to my clients from all over the States... maybe the world one day, It feels me up and give my life great purpose... It has been a long process and often very difficult, but the value is great...

There is so much need, and when we take care of our own deep needs, there is much left for others..

    A great post......

  40. I love that you started with a very important song. "You get what you give" New Radicals. This song has been (one of several) a theme song for my sons and I. It came out around the time my oldest was in preteen years. We have our music sessions in which we play songs from our "feel-good-be-inspired" list. I want my sons to be givers. And by God's grace they are. The feedback I receive from others in regards to my sons, let's me know that I am teaching what is important. While we love getting (working for it), we love sharing what we get! And, if it's not tangible, our hearts are always packed with an abundance to give a smile, a compliment, a loving word of support, a prayer, etc. Thank you for this unbelievably lovely post. There is NO doubt where your heart is!

  50. This is such a wonderful and heartwarming post. Thank you for the reminder. It's all too easy to fall into a selfish mindset.

You're absolutely right about the "follow me and I'll follow you. Read my blog etc etc". I'm completely bewildered by these comments. It's hard to imagine a complete stranger walking up to a person and demand them to be their friend.
