10 Ways to Sparkle More!

Good Monday to you flowers!! Was your weekend good!?! I hope so! It was a bit rainy and cold here, but that didn't stop us from having a great time inside. Sorry, I wasn't around on Friday. It was my daughter Noémie's 1st birthday, so I was away celebrating that with her. We had a lot of fun opening presents and eating cake. Well, it's a brand new week and it's time to shine...maybe the below might help you do more of that. If you have more to add, share them. And let's take more time to sparkle and make life the best it can be. Have a wonderful time!

Loves n' Loves

{1} Don't save those jewels or pretty outfits in your closet for a special occasion - Life itself is a special occasion and you only get one chance at it. Treat each day as if it were your last or as if it were a party and wear your favourite dress, or necklace or whatever items you may treasure and love each day to make it special!

{2} Be kind to your body. Get enough sleep and sunshine, eat well, drink enough of water, and get active. You’ll not only be overflowing with energy, but your insides will thank you too :)

{3} Practise random acts of kindness. Smile at a stranger, tell them to have a nice day or that they look nice. Leave a bigger tip to someone that has waited on you. Volunteer at a local charity, make the happiness of others above your own, and soon enough their happiness will leave you feeling good about being the cause for it. It doesn’t really matter what it is, but doing lovely, selfless things often will make you smile on the inside and feel great.

{4} Buy yourself some flowers or if you like plants, a plant!! They don't need to be some expensive ones, just those that make you smile. Something lovely in your home to pass by everyday will give you lovely feelings on the inside.

{5} If your in a clothing rut, just by making an effort to do your hair or put on your cutest heels or dress for no particular reason can give one a boost and make the day that bit lovelier. Change things up, wear something a different way, accessorise differently. Styles can change, likes and dislikes evolve, by taking note of these, we can adjust them to suit our needs.

{6} Though it may be grey or terrible outside, don't let that get you down. Treat it as an excuse to wear a bright beautiful warm red lipstick, or carry a happy and colourful umbrella or a shot of pastels or fuchsia to your outfit can bring some optimistic feelings to keep those greys away.

{7} Stop letting your everyday get stuck in the rut of routine. I know some have jobs that we can't possibly put off going to, but instead of taking the same lunch or breakfast at the start, do something different. Eat something you love, pack a bit of cake or treat that you enjoy in your lunch to make work a little brighter. Put a picture of something/someone you enjoy in your lunchbox or on your desk that you can view when the stress hits, so you can feel like your a million miles away. But, besides work - treat each day as a new and exciting adventure. Tweak the everyday routines you must keep to make them extra special.

{8} One day every week (without fail) have a date with someone you love. And that doesn't have to be a boyfriend/husband/girlfriend/wife type thing. It can be anyone you love, a friend, a grandparent, anyone. And the place doesn't have to be expensive. It can be a sandwich by the beach or icecream in the park. Whatever it may be, be sure to make time to have special moments with the people you love.

{9} Add some sparkle to your home, wardrobe and life - literally!!

{10} If you've been feeling uninspired lately. You need to broaden your horizons, step out into the world and discover something new. Take a random trip to a city or country you've never been to, a store you keep passing, but never stop to look inside. Visit a museum or a library or bookstore and randomly choose a book to read something new. Listen to nature or a piece of music. Trying something new can spark the imagination and bring on new inspirations. You may try something and find out you didn't like it, but if you tried it the next time another way, it'd be something new in your life. Instant inspiration!

  19. These are probably the best life-advice you can get! Especially the first one - to not save things for a "better day". That day might not come...Two days ago I got a phone call telling me a friend had died in a car crash. When things like that happen I feel even more I want to make the most of every day. To just try and enjoy the moment as often as I can...With a pair of pretty shoes on my feet of course! ;) xox

I agree with you everything starts from within so we have to take care of our body. If we feel good about ourselves we will treat others the right way and everyone around us will benefit from it.

  28. I can certainly relate to #1, I save too many things for "this and that occasion." And I also have a tendency to let bad weather cancel my plans. I've gotta change my ways.
