Today's going to be just dandy...

Good Monday dolls, I hope the weekend was bliss! The Olympics are no more, what a fantastic time, I loved it. Now, it's back to normal and school begins on Wednesday here, it will give me a little more free time in the day to get things done, although my youngest is still with me :) This is just a mix of things from pinterest, I've become quite addicted to pinning things, haha.  Enjoy & have a super Monday!!

P.S.  - how fab did all the female athletes do at the Olympics?? I was very pleased to see them do so well - Girl Power ; )

P.S.S. Remember: The difference between try and triumph is a little UMPH.

  2. I love these photos Doll and agree with you wholeheartedly when it comes to the Olympics, the girls were awesome all throughout the games and to see all of their hard work pay off was beautiful, they all deserve massive props, probably even more so than the men do! :)

  5. Such gorgeous Monday morning inspiration, love! Sad the Olympics are over but they were so fabulous. It was nice to turn on the news every morning for those few weeks and get to hear about something other than politics. Back to that now this morning unfortunately so your post really brightened my day :) xoxo

  9. I love the title of your post Kizzy! I was waiting for a "candy" punchline. LOL London definitely threw a fab party! I enjoyed it from beginning to end. HaHa I was up late too watching the closing ceremony. There was so much to love. I was hoping they would do a little more with Willy Wonka (Russell Brand). That is such a treasure. You have an awesome week. Thank you for sharing what your hubby does as it relates to cell phone radiation. That is so good to know. Government is not forthright with consumers. It's truly sad!

  10. I thought the Olympics were fantastic this year! There were so many talented athletes each of whom gave up so much of their personnel time to commit and compete for a spot to represent their country. I say bravo to all of you, a job well done! :)

    Carpe diem!

  14. WOW! School starts early in the UK. Most of the students here in the US go back the last week of August. I thoroughly enjoyed the gold fashion show and the Spice Girls last nite.

  20. What an inspirational post to start out the week! I love that EWC quote. It's so true! That's why I cringe when I see ppl like Paris Hilton with gobs of money. All those trashy expensive clothes and no sense of fashion!

  31. Even the infernal ticking of the clock on the mantel cannot drown out the throbbing of my impending headache. I rub my temples and brush aside a stray curl that escaped from the perfectly styled coiffure my sister wrangled my hair into this morning. I re-arrange the folds of my pink damasque gown for what seems like the thousandth time and finger the pearls at my neck. Not even the pearls my grandmother gave me as a present last year for my birthday can calm my nerves. He is late!
The plush feel of the soft setee that has been part of our formal room since I was a little girl distracts me for a moment. I walk over to the chair by the window and try to read a few lines. This proves futile and as I rise to gaze towards the window and the gardens without the book falls to the ground. Where could he be? He promised!
The cheery fire in the fireplace does nothing to improve my mood. Not even the sparking snow on the branches by the window elicit a smile from me today.
I hear heavy booted footsteps in the foyer and I know he is here.
It's Christmas and my love is home!

  34. That black dress from the 20s is SO amazing!!! I would wear it while just sitting at home - which of course would look exactly like the room in the top pic! :) I don't usually watch that much sports. But when it comes to the Olympics I love it! A bit sad it's over - and seriously annoyed I completely missed the rhythmic gymnastics! Grrrrr....Oh well. It's only 8 years till the next summer Olympics. Then I'll be...OH DEAR - I'll be 40 then! Or, no, actually I'll be 26. Always 26... ;) xxx
