Fragments of Time

Hiya doll faces!! I hope you are grand!! So glad it's mid-week already, the weather has calmed down here. It's not as blistering hot, yet warm and there is a very pleasant wind blowing through, it's marvellous actually. I wish it could stay like this forever. My husband is away until Thursday night (he left yesterday), so we've been here on our own - girls just having fun..not as much really, we all quite miss the husband/daddy, we are his girls, so when he's not around we miss him terribly!! He'll be glad for the break, one man with three girls in the house, it's a lot for any male :)) I just put together some random photos that were taken throughout the days. Random moments of life, what I enjoy most. I hope you enjoy them & have a wonderful day dolls!!

{Honey coconut cupcakes with caramel icing that I made...so yummy :))) I'll try and put the recipe up soon on my facebook page}

{Quote that was on the wall in the museum I was wandering around in...I quite liked it!
Camille Pissarro was a French painter born on the island of St Thomas (now in the US Virgin Islands, but then in the Danish West Indies). His importance resides in his contributions to both Impressionism and Post-Impressionism.}

{Crazy men out in the rain bowling, but I admit, I really want to do it too, it looks fun. I can always hear them shouting at each other, haha. I think I could beat them :))

Below, view from further away, the one to get their ball closest to the target wins and you can knock the others' ball out of the way, that's why you hear them shouting at each other sometimes.}

{A Nursing corset from the early 20th century. Cotton with steel fastenings. Looks comfy huh!?! ;-)}

{"The Harpy Celaeno", by Mary Pownall.  From Greek Mythology . The Harpies were fierce, filthy, winged monsters who had characteristics of a bird and a woman, similar to that of the early Sirens. Their hideous faces of women with sharp claws mounted on the bodies of vultures inspired both horror and disgust. They could fly as fast as a bolt of lightening. I really wanted to take her home, she's a rather marvelous piece of work. From the Kelvingrove Museum}

{I was fixing my belt & my husband took the picture anyways, haha! But, the stream of light shining on me was nice. My daughter said it was my grandmother & father saying hello :)))) Which made me smile!!} {Dress and belt are vintage}

{Another world below. At the sea. My daughter said it was a friend of Spongebob Square Pants, I laughed. Kids say great things}

To the Sea and Beyond

Good Monday darlings!! I hope your weekend was super :) Mine, was marvelous. I spent it at the seaside, hence the inspiration for this post. It was really nice, sun shining down, the taste of the sea on your lips, birds flying high in the sky overhead. Nature in full bloom all around. Boats sailing by, children running along with little dogs following close by behind them. Icecreams dripping down the arm melting quicker than you can eat them. Happiness all around basking int he glory of the sunshine. The call of the birds to one another as they dive dip in the shiny waters that glitter like diamonds from overhead. It was wonderful and relaxing. Just what I needed. I hope those in the states had a great Memorial weekend :) And this new start is ever joyful for you all. Have a great week dolls!!

{New Love} Bohemique

Good day my flowers!! I hope all of you are getting some sunshine (if that's the season in your part of the world)!?! I spent yesterday outside in the sunshine, it was quite warm, I was overly happy to see the sun when I woke, long may it continue! But, anyways, I randomly found this brand Bohemique whilst browsing around and fell instantly in love!! It's from a brand design duo from Russia, founded in 2011. The new collection is dedicated to the fetish brand. I would happily purchase everything here and more. To the exquisite fabrics dripping in lushness to the dark fetish touch that each piece presents. I want to throw out my clothes and wear these every day...would instantly make cleaning my house a more elegant event. I would fashion my hair in waves, nails dipped in crimson red and walk out the door into the night to some mysterious party in Paris with my husband wearing this dress from the top or the next one below - pending the mood ;-)  I hope you enjoy them, feel free to check out the links below for more info. Have a fab day dolls!!

Love loves

All The Beautiful Things

I love beautiful things. I must admit when something glitters or sparkles, my eyes are straight to it and I want to hold it in my hands and take it home. Or when you meet a new friend that just gets you and you share so many beautiful things in common, makes life grand really. But, most of all, best of all, I love the beautiful things that sometimes people miss, the small things. The tiny buttons on jackets that glitter when swaying down the pavements, the small detail of ribbons in a woman's hair. The little kid that swipes their finger in the  frosting of a cake, because they just can't wait and the look of happiness when their finger hits their mouth and the smile after as their naughtiness was so worth the sweet taste. The intoxicating smell of flower petals blowing in the wind of a warm day that engulfs your senses. The slide of a hand along the binding of a book, who's adventure beckons you in, pulling at you until it has you gripped in it's world...the smell of the pages filling your lungs with excitement. These are the wonders I love most. The little things that remind us we are alive and there is so much in this world yet to discover and enjoy!! I hope your new week is filled with these beautiful things.

Happy Monday!
