Step into another world....

Hello my darlings & here we go again! Another week ahead of us, I'm not really ready for a new week, so I'm going to daydream a little while longer with these amazing creations by costume maker & Avant Garde fashion designer Katarzyna Konieczka! I'm over the moon for costumes and creations like these, because they strike the viewer in such a way, it draws emotions and feelings that can't help but come forth, whether good or bad. And that is the kind of art that I love, one that hits you like a ton of bricks, makes your senses and emotions move and quake, otherwise it's pointless.
In these creations, I get lost, spun into other worlds, other dreams, atmospheres, I feel connection with each piece, it reminds of something I've come across in life. I love their movement, texture, shape and design, I feel the need to run my fingers over them and take them in. Strikingly beautiful and full of depths as wide and deep as the oceans.
Created by the ever so talented Katarzyna, based out of London, she seeks to engage the viewer and leave them impacted in some way or another. Her creations are mainly used for catwalks and stage & not intended for every day use. Each piece is created as a one off, the tecniques used to create them have been developed by Katarzyna herself, through experimentation of textiles, fabric and paint. Her main motifs in the designs are asymmetry, destruction, dramatism, and macabre. I, for one am completely in love with them & would even have them on display in my home. Katarzyna's creating abilities are out of this world and oh so achingly beautiful!!

I hope you enjoy them dolls & wish you a wonderful Monday.

  20. Wow, those head pieces are amazing! Yes, definitely more catwalk than real life (can't see myself wearing that in Brixton for example), but absolutely stunning! What a beautiful find. And no, I'm not ready for the week yet either and would rather disappear into my very own little world… Hope you're well and having some sunshine xo

PS: As always, sorry for not stopping more often, I so appreciate each and every one of your lovely comments x

  37. I love the corset type pieces here. So art deco and elegant. The first photograph and a few of the other pieces actually freak me out a bit though. I find it hard to appreciate macabre art. But of course I do appreciate that others do. Each to their own, eh? Rosemary x
