Dark Pierrot...

Happy Friday dearest dolls...the week is coming to it's end. I haven't shared an editorial in ages, but to be honest, not many of them have caught my eye. That is until I spotted this one of the amazing Le Pustra. Le Pustra is an international performance artist, fashion icon, singer, Club Kid and art director.

Le Pustra is based on Commedia dell'Arte's 'Pierrot' and inspired by the haunting and gothic world of Tim Burton, 1970's Glamrock, Haute Couture, silent films (or flickers, as they were known at the time), artistic movements such as Baroque and Art Deco too. Bits of Opera, Ballet, Kabuki and German Kabarett can also be found too.

This very distinctive and romantic styling and theatrical visions for me always creates a very dream-like world to escape to, a beautiful work of art that draws you in and lets you escape into distant worlds, leaving you charmed and entranced.

Seeing Le Pustra live is a must, having performed all over the world, there is something special you get from seeing the performance with your own eyes. Enthralling to the very core, I was mesmerised completely.

Le Pustra has also been embraced by the fashion world for his unique styling and striking looks. Keen on collaborating, Le Pustra has walked for designer, Ziad Ghanem's couture shows during London Fashion Week (SS12 & AW13). Other designers include Ivana Pilja's 2013 Fashion Showcase, AM Statik Latex, Marko Mitanovski & musical collaborations and fashion films too.

I hope you enjoy these hauntingly beautiful pictures, I can hardly pick a favourite, though I am quite fond of the 3rd, 4th & 6th ones. I adore him so much.Wish you a wonderful weekend dolls. Until Monday, catch me on facebook, twitter, instagram & pinterest!

 Loves & Loves, Kizzy

  3. This may not surprise you, but I was obsessed by Pierrot when I was a little girl! I had an old lace curtain that I would wrap around my neck as a ruffled collar and I used to somehow get white makeup and do up my face! I love this shoot. :D

  15. Such beautiful and dramatic art in this editorial. I love it all, and agree some recent editorials have not been up to par with me as well, although for fall some of them look quite beautiful. :-) Happy Friday!

  32. This would be interesting to see. It may not seem like it at first, or you may have caught hints of it, but I do like the gothic and baroque styles very much, in art and culture. -Jess L
