{The Powder Room} The Library of Fragrance

Good day dolls!! I hope your enjoying your week so far!?! As you already know, I love perfumes and last month I was finally able to get to the city and try out The Library of Fragrance scents that I had talked about previously in a perfume wishlist post. I was so excited as my curiosity was already exploding with excitement! I stood there like a mad scientist in the lab or in this case, I felt like the Willy Wonka of perfumes spraying them into the air, starting first with one at a time and then combining them to make my own little concoctions. All of the fragrances, I could easily connect with memories of life and that's what I loved most of all.
The Library of Fragrance is produced by New York-based company Demeter Fragrance Library Inc. Originally established in 1996, they were produced to capture the wonderful every day aromas that are often under-appreciated but provoke profound memories and happiness. They are sold in over 35 countries from Paris to Hong Kong. There are over 300 unique fragrances & 100 of them are available in the UK. These scents are linear, so their scent never changes over time, it stays the same all day.
At the Boots store at Buchanan Galleries in Glasgow, I chose Sex on the Beach and Rain. No idea why as I had planned on buying Moon and one other, but these ones just stuck out to me on the day & combined really well together. Below you can read my thoughts on both of them.

Musique: Wham - Club Tropicana

Sex on the Beach - Obviously this is talking about the drink and nothing else, haha. It's a refreshing, light, fruity combination of vodka, pineapple juice, a touch of raspberry & melon liquor and a dash of cranberry! It's slightly sweet, but not sickly. I was completely drawn into this one, I felt as though I had the drink in my hand and I was sitting on a beach somewhere, my mind was entranced. You're breathing in the drink, yet it's not the actual drink in your hand, amazing & tantalisingly delicious!

Musique: Madonna - Rain

Rain - This is not the kind of rain you smell in a busy city or crowded place, but the rain you smell just in the morning when no one's around or late at night when everyone is inside and your taking a walk. It's so clean and pure that you feel as though your standing out there and the rain is falling and soaking you through, but you don't care because it just feels amazing. Like the happiness you felt playing in the rain as a child...well, that's what it feels like for me any ways. It's an uplifting rain...washing away negative vibes, I love it!

You can view many more aromas on The Library of Fragrance site or on the Boots site too! If you live outside the UK, see Boots as they deliver all over the world!  They have a refund policy, if you don't like the one you picked, you can send it back to them (within 2 weeks) for a refund. I'm completely in love with all of these & I can't wait to build a collection of them, their perfect for someone like me as they don't give me headaches and I can combine them to make my own personal scent. Have you tried the Library of Fragrance yet!?! Is there one from the collection list you'd love to try!?! Let me know what you'd pick :)

I gave The Library of Fragrance a Sizzling Heart ♥

(Rating scale: Sizzling Heart - Go & buy it, Hot Hot Heart - It's good, but not perfect, Lukewarm Heart - there were issues, I might buy it again, Frozen Heart - Do not buy, it was terrible)

  28. Just the other day, when it was raining, I was enjoying the lovely scents it brings. For some reason I love the smell of rain on asphalt. Smells like summer to me... :) I checked this site out again, and found a scent called "Thunderstorm". I LOVE thunderstorms!!! But of course I lust after the Moonbeam scent... It has Lily of The valley in it - my favorite flower! But since the top notes are vanilla and chocolate in it, I'm still a bit unsure if it might be too sweet for me... Hm... Need to travel somewhere so I can smell them ALL!!! :) xxxxxxxx
