| Christmas Movie Favourites |

Happy Monday darlings!! How was your weekend?? I hope it was bliss. I love Christmas movies, I confess I watch them all year round, but seeing them advertised at Christmas time is even better!! I remember great snow days of being at home bundled up in blankets, holding hot cocoa and watching my favourite movies without blinking!! It didn't feel like Christmas until I saw all my favourites. So, I thought I would share some of my faves with you today!! Do you have any favourites that you simply must see every Christmas season?? Let me know in the comments!!!

1. Home Alone - Like, this movie never ceases to make me laugh, I know every line. I loved Macauley Culkin growing up. And I knew exactly how he felt as a middle child, haha. And we were both all about that cheese pizza, although now I do enjoy toppings. But, at the time I didn't. The second film is so funny too, but that's where it stops for me. I didn't care for the others they tried to make. But, these just make me feel so happy and full of laughter.

2. The Grinch - As a small child I read the book and watched the cartoon version every year and nothing in the world could ever top them for me. That is until the film came out, I had my reservations because I love the cartoon so much and The Cat in The Hat was terrible, so I hoped my favourite wouldn't be screwed up too. But, Jim Carey really is crazy funny and pulled this movie off so well. I always cry with laughter when he's put in the chair of cheer, it's too much. If you haven't seen this, definitely watch it!! Just makes you feel good at the end.

3. It's a Wonderful Life - Obviously this is a really old film, but I think it gives such an important message about life and why it's important each and every one of is on this earth and what it would be like if we hadn't been born. In black and white, but I have found colourised versions of it on youtube before. I first watched this when I was older and going through a tough time & it just filled me with so much joy and gradually the dark clouds lifted. So, if you like heart-felt movies, I'd watch this one.

4. Scrooged - A funny alternative to The Christmas Carol. Bill Murray is another blast from the past that was just under appreciated for his humour. He plays the lead obviously and he's cold and heartless - you know how this story goes really. But, it's 'modern' version that still fits in to today's society I feel. It reminds me that life is short and we really need to spend it loving others and spreading joy. Not being greedy or thinking only of ourselves.

5. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation - like, how can one have a list and not include this one!! I start laughing before it's even turned on because I know all the funny parts in it, haha. Like everything goes wrong, yet by the end everyone learns what this season is all about.

So, there you go! Now you know what my family will be watching this Christmas. There are many more that we watch like Edward Scissorhands, Little Women, Love Actually, The Gremlins, Santa Claus & so on. I love watching films, it all adds to the spirit of Christmas and spending time with those that you love dear. I hope you have a marvellous start to the week dolls!!
