Hello sweet darlings...I hope your week is faring well. Some weeks ago, I ventured for a walk by the river. A gentle breeze was blowing, wrapping the body in a cool blanket, clouds like big fluffy pillows floated ever so gently over head, you could hear the sweet melodies of birds singing out to each other and passersby down below. Seagulls playing games of catching shells hoping to find tasty treats inside. Mother Nature playing her part in all walks of life. All was going so well until, the mood changed, clouds started to fall, engulfing the hills underneath them, waves began rising and crashing in great crescendo slapping over the railings and pouring onto the pavement. Hurried faces rushed to take cover in their cars and near buildings close by. We waited to see...it stops...hooray.....but Mother Nature has different plans...the down pour of hale stones quickly begins, hitting the ground like a hundred marbles in a children's game. We race to hide, laughing at the spectacle of it all. Watching it fall to cover the ground like white paint splattering on dark canvas. Birds lost in a graceless flight trying to take cover, lost to the strength of the winds. Minutes upon minutes pass by and slowly like the turn of a page, the clouds lift, leaving the space once invaded. Beautiful rays of sun dance together with rain drops to cascade in rainbows of colour into the atmosphere like a symphony of triumph. I smile happily towards the bright light as it warms my face and dries any trace of the rain that once was....'Mother Nature at her best' I laugh saying....and hurry home before she changes her mind again ;D
Have a happy Wednesday petals!!
Love loves

JUST LOVELY!!!! I have been caught in so many hail storms. They really do fasinate me as the weather is in the state between rain or snow.
ReplyDeleteI love brooches! I was drawn right in by your smile and your pin :) Have built up a sweet collection over the years.
Have the sweetest day!

I love the outfit too doll and it's great to hear you gushing over Scottish nature too because I know sometimes it's tough over here in Ireland and it must be similar over there? Maybe.
ReplyDeleteI love walking side by side with nature. The river is especially lovely when it's silent like the dawn. And it's such a delight to see your beautiful face here too.
ReplyDeleteA happy Wednesday indeed;-)

Beautiful photos and outfit, you look great!!!!Kisses from www.stylepicture.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteYour words are so graceful and eloquent and very descriptive. I could envision the entire episode bit by bit. Mother Nature has been up to a lot of trickery lately out here in California she graced us with Summer weather late last week and for the weekend but like the big sister whose notorious for teasing she snatched it all back threw water all over us this week. lol. but thats life right we should be ready for whatever at any and every moment!!!!
ReplyDeleteYour ensemble is darling, I adore it and I especially love the brooch!

ReplyDeleteKizzy, these photos are SO GORGEOUS! You look so beautiful girl. I love that dress, tights and that brooch. So pretty! The backdrop is amazing. Girl, mother nature has been crazy. HaHa I want her to start having Spring on the brain. I WAS LOL at your comments and Tweet. HAHAHA I think Cadbury is based over there in England. They came out with a bath line (not sure if it was temporary or permanent) but I couldn't find it over here in the states. I was like DAMN! LOL Soooo see Kizzy, you can even bathe in "chocolate" if you want. I found info on it several months ago when I was looking up all that Laduree information. Ohhh well! Have a great day pretty lady. ((HUG))

Doll, has anyone every used your photos without permission? I noticed that you write that at the end. This has happened to bloggers. One blogger's entire blog was copied. As an artist I know that you need to protect yourself. Can you stamp them? I have also seen bloggers do that as well. I recently wrote to a blogger asking permission to use a photo and she never answered me back, so I guess it is a no. Anyway, your dress style and print are gorgeous. It fits you beautifully. Your writing is amazing and I get such a visual when reading, especially about paint being splattered on a canvas. I saw the raindrops pounding the pavement...dawn suitcase vignettes xo
ReplyDeletecute blog and great style darling!! by the way feel free to check out mine and follow if you like!! thx!
