These shoes were made for walking....

Happy Monday to you all!! I hope your weekend was gorgeous. Here, it was sunny and warm and stunning, we spent the days outside basking in it's glory. So, my usual Monday post had to be delayed as I didn't get the time to spend on it as I normally do. But, who doesn't love shoes!?! I found them browsing The Metropolitan Museum of Art site and had to share some, I hope you enjoy them!! For those who need a bit of cheer on Mondays too, here is a lil' something as well:

  10. Its really lovely to hear you had such a wicked start to this new week hun. It was similarly the same here albeit I was unfortunately stuck inside all day/evening =( Anyway these shoes are so gorgeous. Sometimes I feel we dont appreciate the skills involved in crafting shoes and alot of these definately do remind us of the beauties in couture footwear ^_^

  19. I love seeing how shoes have changed through the years. But I usually get surprised when seeing shoes like those golden ones by Cammeyer from 1891 - that someone was so bold as to wear something like THAT in THOSE days! Fetish shoes from the 1800s is also something that might surprise modern people... :) xox
