To the sea and home again

Hiya dollfaces, Happy Wednesday! I hope you are grand wherever you may be. All is quite silent here. No rain, no wind and un-like other places, no snow. Just still, which is nice for a break. Though the wind is cold enough to feel like ice nipping at your skin, I don't mind really. I am sure spring will be here soon. These pictures are of a building I love to walk past when I come to visit friends. It's beautiful and I love it's cause. It always changes from season to season, so I tend to come back through out the year, hope you like it! Have a great day!!

Love Loves

{p.s. for all the men/women who have gone out to sea & for those who sadly never returned. Many blessings and love to your brave souls}

{History: Sir Gabriel Woods was born in Gourock, Scotland in 1767. He became Consul of Maryland (which included Washington) and later Commissary-General of Accounts for the Caribbean, the Mediterranean and then of Canada - the most important army position abroad. He passed away in 1845. Through one of his legacies, Sir Gabriel Wood's Mariners' Home was founded in Greenock, Scotland. It was completed in 1850, five years after his death and is still serving the purpose of taking care of Merchant seamen who were in ill health and in need of assisstance. This charitable organization is run today by the British Sailor Society. Under the tower is a small chapel. On a Sunday the bell in the tower is rung. Flags flying: Red Ensign, (merchant navy) British Sailor society flag.}

{Am smiling at a passer-by again, haha}

  9. I love the necklace doll, you're looking elegant and stunning as always, great photos in general too, rest in peace to everybody who's lost their lives to the sea, the sea can be such a cruel place.

    I've been really positive recently because the sun now sets at a quarter past five, a few flowers have started to show the first signs of blooming and we're only 20 days away from the beginning of March. Spring is just around the corner! Great post as always.

  39. i don't know why but this building reminds me of cambridge or oxford and i've never been there, but it has this old feeling to it and it kind of reminds me of an old university.
    p.s your coat is lovely, i haven't seen such a print on any coat before, it looks like lace but i see that it isn't lace. very interesting print.
