{Happy Monday} Question Me

Happy Monday dolls! I hope your weekend was sweet, it was rather pleasant here, quiet and nice. I've been busying away cleaning out things in the house, to get ready for Christmas decorating, lots of fun!! The sun has been shining while the wind has been cool, it's really quite beautiful. I was tagged in a post by sweet My Paintings and Tales, so I'm going to get those done & I was also given an award by the lovely Musings in Red...thank you both so much, I do enjoy these kinds of posts and it's always so nice that someone would think to give me an award...a BIG thank you to you both!! I hope you enjoy my answers & wish you a wonderful Monday!! Thank you to all the lovely ladies that have joined in on my new blog: La Femme Nouvelle, I'll be posting there tomorrow, so I'll see you then! Have fun dollipops!!

11 random facts about myself, answer 11 questions

11 Random things about me
1. When I'm stressed or tired, I listen to instrumental music to feel better. 2. For every new thing I buy, I give away something old. 3. I like playing in the rain.  4. I adore the violin, someone playing really good will always cause me to tear up. 5. I want to learn to play the accordion, yes!! 6. I love roller-coasters, the more it goes upside down, the better. 7. I wish I had a giant library to call my own :) 8. I collect antiques 9. I love Christmas movies all year round. 10. I used to get into trouble for talking too much in class when I was little. 11. I slapped a girl when I was 6 for taking the toys away from others, I got sent to the corner, & shouted that I wasn't sorry...a rebel from birth I was ;)

My 11 questions are:

1. What are the type of blogs do you follow / read?
All kinds, I like a variety or I get bored.  A lot of blogs repeat the same things, like if it's a trend or something, so it's nice to escape to the ones that write about stuff I love more, like literature and movies :)

2. What is the first thing you look forward to everyday?
Seeing my girl's smiles, it makes my day :)  (my girls love bunnies - me to, that's why I put bunnies)

3. What is your favourite meal?
Hmmm...I love food. I could eat all day - which is why I need to exercise or I'd be too big to get out of the house. But, I adore Camembert cheese with caramelized onions on toasted bread...so good. Not good to eat all the time, but I do adore it!! I should just live in France...haha :)
4. What are the blogging topics that you find silly and stupid?
Any topic that bashes or discriminates against another person, I don't have time for that out in the world, so I don't really have time for it on blogs either. If someone is standing up for a cause, that's different.

5. Does the blog layout, and photos display matter?
Maybe, everyone has their own tastes, your never going to please everyone. I think if it's readable and clear, then it's ok. The only thing with photos that bother me are, when you have a person in an outfit with like over 10 photos of them in almost the same pose ('this is me smiling' 'this is me not smiling' 'this is a close up of my hair - that's exactly like the photo you've seen before this one, but what the heck, I'm throwing it in there anyways') that drives me crazy. I read a mass of blogs and I like to give them all the same attention, but when I have to scroll through the same photo, I feel drained. Other than that...I don't care if the photo is not as good quality as another, it's the effort put in and if your feeling confident and yourself...that's most important than the amount, Quality over quantity :)

6. Did you ever buy a painting as a gift?
Of course, I love paintings :)))
7. How many works of art/ paintings / posters do you have in your place?
I've lost count...since art is my thing...I have masses. I also like to buy paintings from local artists wherever I travel to :)
8. Which topics do you often write about?
ART!!!!!!! & Positive posts to make others feel good!!!

9. What is the most extreme thing you have done and you are very proud of?
Hmmm...Not give up, I think. Since birth there has been masses of things against me and I've charged through them like a trooper. Most people would give up at the first hurdle, but somehow without even knowing it, I've gotten through it. I don't ever think of how I'm going to get through something, I just get up and go. I was born with cerebral palsy in my legs (though doctors are amazed how my condition has improved as I grew older) some don't walk in those cases, but mine's mild. I've had 3 operations to help. Learned to walk more times that I could stand it, but I get back up and keep going. There's people who will never walk, so I don't have the excuse to feel sorry for myself and I detest anyone who tries to give me sympathy, I don't need it. I can do anything I want & I do :) There's other things I've found harder than that, being mixed race & being a woman & being taken seriously. But, I make do :)
10. What is your guilty pleasure?
Don't have any....anything good in life, should never be a guilty pleasure, unless it causes harm to yourself or others.

11. What is your life drive?
To do as many things as I can, I don't want to waste days...life comes and goes so quickly. I want to live and not just exist. And to give my girls a happy life :)

  2. Fabulous post! I always like reading these as I like to find out more about the person writing the blog. I had no idea you had cerebral palsy for example and I find it astonishing how well you're coping. Art, music, cheese, bread and wine - yes, I think we could get along ;-) Have a lovely week xo

  16. I love your guilty pleasure answer a whole lot Doll because you're right to have no guilty pleasures! All of your answers in general are awesome and like I said in my recent post you inspire me because I'm well aware that from day one you've been through a whole lot of shit and you've never let it bring you down, that story about being a rebellious child and not being sorry for attacking someone who was being mean just sums you up in my opinion. Your answer about the blogs which bash or discriminate against people reminds me that I found this forum called "Stormfront," the other day which is basically one big forum filled with rampant racism and homophobes from people insistent that whites shouldn't get together with other ethnicities and various other sick topics.

Great post as usual, you really do deserve both these awards.

  17. Wonderful and inspiring post doll! Great to know more about you! I played the violin for 8+ years it's one of my favourite instruments. I also get rid of pieces of clothing/donate when I buy new ones. Glad that you enjoyed your weekend. Decorating for Christmas is alway such fun. xx

  19. Kizzy, congratulations on your award girl! Reading this was fabulous. I've always loved instrumental music. Not just classical, but I've also been drawn to instrumental versions of pop tunes. I think it's fabulous. I JUST started giving away one item when I get a new one. It makes you feel good. I realize now I don't need to hold onto all that stuff. Let it go! Embrace the NEW! HAHAHA I hate when people post slight variations of the same pic over and over and over! HAHAHAHA I'm glad you mentioned it. Kizzy you have overcome a lot and I admire you girl. Your strength gives me strength. Have a great week and love you!

  21. Loved reading every bit of this, so insightful & always great to know little more about you, even if you were a little rebel from when you were young!

I also loved your answer to no.9 - It's true that so many of us are actually so darn lucky and have so many great advantages over some people who might not be as fortunate as us... which is why I always feel blessed, grateful and so lucky to have who/what I have in my life. When I'm having a rubbish day, I always think, there's somebody else out there who hasn't got it as good as me (health wise, everything etc...)

Always love your inspirational posts, makes my Mondays so much better, so thanks Kizzy for being super awesome!

Also, I love book blogs too!? :) Have you ever read "The Book Smugglers"? That's my top fav book blog. :D

And I love your definition of guilty pleasures. Sometimes I feel guilty enjoying pretty things in life and so forth...but then..as long as we are responsible, pay the bills, and so forth... life is meant to be enjoyed! :D

Love your blog! Thank you for always being an inspiration to us! :)

I really enjoyed getting to know you a little better. I had no idea you'd struggled with medical problems. I've had some too, but not as bad as what you described. It helped me to feel thankful for the little blessings and so forth! ;) You really are amazing!

Your blog is lovely and i love your questions! I've recently been similarly nominated and am in the process of writing up my questions so getting to see the questions of other blogs is kind of inspiring as silly as that might sound lol

    thanks again!

  47. I like to read these questions and answers posts by people I really like! It's such an easy way of finding out a little bit more about the lovely person behind the blog :) From seeing many pictures of you I would never have guessed you had cerebral palsy in your legs! Glad that it has improved so much during the years - and also glad you have never given up! I had to learn ow to walk again ONCE, so having to relearn over and over, like you have, must really take a toll on your soul...But also make it stronger! If we ever meet - and I hope we will - we really need to celebrate being able to get over all the bad things life puts us through. With champagne of course... :) xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
