Love is Louder...

Hiya my loves! Happy Monday :) I hope your weekends were wonderful. I rested and slept in on Saturday, which felt grand, then was almost late taking my oldest, Saffron to drama, but that's ok. Sunday was restful, I soaked in a warm bath with a chocolate mud mask, husband made his brilliant chocolate chip oatmeal cookies for us girls and we enjoyed the day together. This is a special Monday post, because I wanted to talk about a movement I support called Love is Louder. It was started by the Jed Foundation (that deals with promoting positive emotional health & suicide prevention), MTV and Brittany Snow. What Love is Louder does is show/give support to anyone feeling alone, mistreated or misunderstood.  Thousands upon thousands around the world have turned it into this massive coming together  to show that love and support is louder and stronger than any internal and external voice that may bring us down. No matter what we go through,  there are people out there who have been through bad times and can be reached out to, we are never alone. It's something I believe in so much, having gone through physical & mental abuse, eating disorders, self harm, bullying & a trashed self-esteem myself, I honestly feel it was love that brought me through, healed my heart & took the pain away. I look around and see so many going through the same thing & that's why I try to help in any way I can...nothing can be beat unless you stand up to it...even if it you take time to listen, it could be enough to save someones life. I hope you'll check the website and see how you can get involved....because Love is Louder!!

Have a gorgeous Monday
xoxo

  3. This has made my morning Doll, love really is louder! Nobody should feel alone in life, bullying and hatred are two things which I can't stand and I'd love to see them wiped off the face of this earth in all honesty. More people need to understand that there are good aspects of the world and that not everybody is the same as the people who treated them badly but I understand why that's hard to see when you're depressed and self harming or whatever else because I've been there too and it really does feel hopeless, beautiful photos.

  21. Kizzy, this is an excellent cause. There are still too many people taking their lives over foolishness. Hurtful words, uncaring actions and just MEAN people are killing too many NICE people. It hurts my heart every time I hear a case. I almost lost my own life because of a low self esteem and unkind words. So I take this very seriously. I love your picture! It is so awesome and the message. Your hubby is THE BEST! Those cookies sound delicious girl. We must be karma twins, because this was the first weekend in a LONG time that i gave myself a mud facial. HAHAHAHA It felt so good. Maybe that's why I'm glowing. HAHAHA Have a great day my friend! 39. Well... love sometimes hurts!!! hahahah okey... may be it´s not love itself and what hurts is betrayal or losing confidence in that person, or whatever the reason is, but if you don´t love that person you don´t develope this feelings of being hurt neither!! You just don´t care!

    Great post!!!

  44. Hadn't heard about this movement before, but I'm glad it exists! From what I have learnt it's the ones - like you and me - that have gone through lots of bad things, and survived, who really understand how important the word "love" really is! Like Nat King Cole sings: "The only thing you'll ever learn, is just to love, and be loved in returned". This is all that really matters in life, and what helps us through the bad things... :) And congrats to over 500 followers!!!! :D You really deserve it honey! :-*

  56. Sounds like a quote I love from the "Sugar Queen"--
"“You're dying with the way things are," Della Lee said harshly, causing Josey to lower the handful of popcorn she was about to put in her mouth. "You're going to lose yourself in this, Josey. It's going to happen if you don't change. I know. I lost myself trying to find happiness in things that didn't love me back.”
