Hello dolls!! I hope your week so far has been bliss!! I discovered these heels a few weeks ago and knew I had to share them as I know many of my readers are shoe crazy & since I'm art crazy...it was a perfect match!! But, who wouldn't want to walk around in any of these beauties, so unique and wonderful!?! You'll be a travelling art show with these fancy footwork pieces featuring famous paintings of Vincent Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Roy Lichtenstein, and others. Charlotte Olympia hired British artist, photography and body art painter Boyarde Messenger to reinterpret the works of art on her signature Dolly Pumps. Boyarde hand-painted 100 pairs for the Neiman Marcus Charlotte Olympia project. The fact that they are all hand painted on it's own amazes me. I think the phrase, 'A walking work of art' really rings true here! You can see her painstaking process of creating these gems here, you can see her facebook page here and you can also check out Charlotte Olympia's website out here, there is some super lush items that I wouldn't mind having, haha! Hope you enjoy these & have a sweet day darling dolls!

This is an amazing idea, and I'm glad to hear they're actually hand painted! For some reason I have a lot more respect for hand made things. There is just so much more time and effort put into them, than if a machine made it. Maybe it's because I like creating things myself too. Like now that I'm sitting at a desk, gluing 3 700 Swarovski crystals to a burlesque costume. One by one. I love seeing how something slowly builds up and BECOMES something! :) xoxoxoxox
ReplyDeleteYes, I prefer handmade or done things too, more appreciated. You can do it & I want to see it ;) xoxoxo
DeleteI instantly thought of Charlotte Olympia when I saw these shoes. I love how these actually derive from famous paintings - these are SO cool!
