Hello dolls!! How's the week been going!?! Good, I hope. I didn't blog until today as I had a special post to get done, one you will see very soon ;) I hope the weather has picked up some for those of you expecting Spring, it's been bright here, though the wind is still freezing. I wanted to leave you with some things I've been daydreaming about lately & also share an award I received! Welcome to my new friends here....
With all these waiting for Spring, I've been daydreaming of wearing this outfit....
And I want to wear it while riding on the Orient Express.
I want to swim to the ocean floor & enjoy the silence of the world above & only hear Nature's call.
I want to lay on this bed & watch the sun set at night & rise once more in the morning....
I want to go underground in Istanbul & see this wonderful amazement of lights....
And dine in stunning Art Nouveau surroundings, such as this - "La fermette marbeuf" in Paris!
All of this would be wonderful, don't you think!?!...a doll must have her dreams!
I also received these two awards from the beautiful Rosy from Sewingadicta (she can make any thing, superb) & I have to share 7 things about myself!! I'll pass it along to 7 people when I have a think :)
7 Things About Me
1. I'm happier in a library or museum with my books or art than I am shopping.
2. Intelligence is more impressive to me, than one's looks or job.
3. I'm perfume obsessed. I would buy lots of perfume if I could, a scent for every occasion.
4. I fell in love with everything vintage & old movie glamour, the moment I laid eyes on Lauren Bacall & Rita Hayworth as a child, stunning & talented beauties. They were on my wall.
5. I love playing field hockey, since a teenager. I'm overly competitive when I play. The other girls used to try & hit me with their sticks on the hands to get the ball, because I could play well. But, you know I had to take them out, haha!
6. I used to spend summers at my Aunt & Uncle's house helping him re-model old vintage cars from the 50's, since he's a mechanic, then we'd ride into town in them & everyone would stare at us in the old car. I loved it...now I have a great love for old cars & hope to have one myself!
7. I like finding clothes with obscure patterns on them like lemons or flamingos or cars...they make me smile :)
Have a great day my darlings!!!

Isn’t That Charming.
Is Kizzy your real name? i only got to know of "kizzy" from your instagram and was wondering if it is your real name.
ReplyDeleteIt is good to dream. Some of the dreams you listed here could be easily realised. As for others, sometimes it is good to just dream.
Congrats on your awards. Did your overall love for vintage start of with fixing vintage cars?
All these photos are breathtaking. You have exquisite taste. I would also love to ride that train, see those lights and just gaze at the walls at that amazing place in Paris.
ReplyDeletei love art nouveau, the room parisienne is amazing, and I love blod jewellery too!!:)

Your awards are so well deserved. Your words and pics always uplift me.
ReplyDeleteI love the pics you have chosen here, especially that bed by the shore ... wow, just imagine being transported there right now.
The closest I got to a vintage car was an old Austin Healey Sprite but it was a nightmare to drive (because my legs weren't long enough!) and it kept breaking down!!
Hope the sun shines on you this week.

A big "Hurrah" for the dreams .... which we have now and the ones to come ...
ReplyDeleteHello love, thank you a lot for your comment. Indeed I was wondering just today where you are and missed you. I am sorry your computer broke down, hope the new one will be your very good friend for a long, long time. I am not so much on the internet as I used to be at the moment and I hope I don't miss a single one of your posts. I have a new job and it's very stressful, I have to work longer a lot and I'm always exhausted when I come home. But I think that's normal till I have adjusted. I would love to see you wearing this bold jewellery, it's so pretty and reminds me of a peacock. When I was in Istanbul last year, I visited this beautiful place, although the lamps weren't there. Must be new. But the place itself is so stunning too. I recently watched an old James Bond movie, just to see this place again. Have a wonderful week, lots of kisses, xxxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteThis is just so dreamy...nothing nicer than having an hour on the internet with our blogs and pinterest I think for sharing these beautiful places and ideas, the lights in Istanbul look wonderful!

I enjoy learning about you, and I really like numbers 1,2, and 7. I think that reading and learning is certainly a long-term happiness while shopping, at least for me, is a temporary satisfaction. I want to get to where I don't shop unless I need to at all. And I'm extremely drawn to smart people. Luckily I'm surrounded by lots of them! -Jess L
