Versatility encourages Creativity!

Hello lovelies!! I hope you had a great week, it seemed to go fast to me for some reason. Maybe because it rained a lot here, so I kept myself busier than usual to ignore it.  I do hope the weather was a spot better for you. I received another award, which is so kind & had to share some things about myself, so I thought I'd do that today. I also popped in some interesting things I spotted around the web too. I hope you enjoy them & have a fun weekend.

Love loves
xoxoxoxoxoxoxox

This lovely award came from the sweet Le Petit Plastique, thank you so much, it's so kind of you :)

~ 7 Things about myself ~

♥ One time at church, we were outside playing football (soccer) and I was defending the goal. I slid, fractured my foot but, kept playing. I went on to score 3 or 4 goals and block a few before I had to be taken off the field & that was only because my foot swelled so much, my shoes were becoming too tight, lol.

Sometimes because I tend to be quiet and off in my own world, people can assume that I don't have opinions, that I can't do much or that I'm not as smart as other people who talk on and on. I have lots of opinions & I'm highly intelligent, I just choose not to gossip or waste my words and thoughts on people who can't see beyond themselves. If don't talk a lot around you, it's usually because I'm not interested in what you're saying. People like gossips, those who look down on others or people who are rude, I don't like to fill my world with. Talking for the sake of talking is pointless to me. And I think if you're big enough to talk about someone away from their face, you should be big enough to say it to their face or don't say it at all ;)

When things go wrong or I get nervous, I start laughing and can't stop. It drives my husband crazy because he gets angry like a bear when things go wrong, but I just laugh and laugh.

♥ I'm accessories mad, but my favourites are always dramatic necklaces - I can't always get away with them at the moment, due to having a little daughter, as she pulls on them, but I just adore them & collect them when I can!

♥ I love the comedy series The Mighty Boosh! I think Julien Barrett and Noel Fielding are really funny. My friends and I once stood from 8am till 2pm in line waiting to get into meet them when their book came out. They were super lovely.  They were really chuffed that I was so excited to meet them :) I told Julien (the one on the left in the picture) he was marvellous & he turned all red, haha!

♥ My husband and I email each other every single day (except when he's not at work) It's a lot of fun really. He emails me pictures of clothes or whatever he finds on his lunch break when he browses magazines left by other work mates, that he thinks I might like. We're best friends!

One of my favourite movies is The Iron Giant! I cry every time I watch it, haha :)

And here are some of the interesting things I saw around the web this week, some you might have seen, enjoy!

~ Dainty Darlinks ~

23 Things Every woman should stop doing from the Huffington post- I thought these were so spot on, I was shaking my head in agreement while reading these.

Meet the 80 year olds' wearing Doc Martins and mini skirts, I love these ladies, they have true beauty & style. I watched the documentary that went with this & it was awesome, I want to be my own version of these ladies when I'm their age. Rock on!

♥  The Pretentious Side of Fashion, this made me laugh so much, but sadly I have seen some people like this See here.

400 year old remains of jewel encrusted skeletons, decorated in thousands of pounds worth of gold, silver and jewels by followers has had the lid taken off them. I thought it was interesting & they look quite amazing, just a shame the money from them couldn't go to charity or something though.

20 Historic Black and White Pictures Colorised, quite bizarre to see some of these in colour, it made them feel as if they had been taken yesterday.

Cuteness overload, precious seal wants to cuddle woman sitting on the beach, I loved it!

♥ Funniest reviews on Amazon....see part one & part two.

♥ And lastly...but certainly not least...Downton Abbey is back for us UK dolls on Sunday...can't wait!

Have a wonderful weekend my darling dears.

♥

  1. Kizzy you and I would have a ball. I laugh when bad things happen too. I used to go to sewing classes, and would laugh at my mistakes. No one else seemed to get it. Never mind. I email my hubby when I really want his attention. It's too noisy at my place for us to have a proper conversation :D. Sometimes I even email him when we're home! Was great to read this post and get to know you a little better. I'm going to have a look for The Mighty Boosh. Have a great weekend! sparkle2day.com

  4. Wonderful learning more about you dear. Congrats on the award. Well, my nan always said, "be swift to listen and slow to speak," so I think being quiet at times is good, I am the same ... and certainly doesn't make anyone less of an intellectual -- that part is up to you to choose! Happy weekend. /Madison

  8. I enjoyed reading this and love how your husband and you email everyday. So cute! I love big necklaces too and had a hard time when my son was a baby with the pulling and grabbing and not being able to wear them. Now he knows not to and is pretty good about it. :) Have a good day and thanks for stopping by!

  10. lol, lie witness news...good silhouettes- I mean that guy didn't even blink:)
in some way I admire how comfortable he was just making stuff up, ha ha...ok, but on the other side I'm worried how people don't even think about admitting they don't know something, like it's completely normal to lie, it has become like breathing.

..and that reminds me of the seven facts you shared. I also don't like talking for the sake of talking or anything like that. I don't mean to be an intellectual snob or anything but if I'm having drinks with people and all they talk about is big brother or celebrities, I will probably never have drinks with those people...really, I would rather stay home and enjoy a good book. I understand we all have different interests, and I don't expect everyone to be interested in things I'm interested in, but I really dislike gossip folks and pushy ones which often falls into the same category and usually I just avoid them. I can listen to anyone who is articulate talking about pretty much anything, even things I don't care about, like cars and stuff...but pushy people---best to avoid them completely.

So, I really enjoyed reading 7 facts but also the links you have left.
    - things that women should stop doing...so true, some of these advice's can be applied to both genders, but I definitely agree that women apologize too much and say yes to everything too often just because we want to be always helpful...and in the end it doesn't work out.
    - 80 years old stylish granny...gotta love that!
    - I've honestly never heard about this skeletons before, interesting story.
    - the photographs are amazing
    - the seal gave her a kiss:)! how cute! I'm always amazed at the emotional capacity of animals, really sometimes when I compare it with people I have a feeling something went wrong somewhere.
    - funny reviews

    1. :)) I agree completely with you, I am the same. Yes, I do think animals have a far greater emotional capacity than humans sometimes. It was the sweetest. :)))

  11. and one more thing...I do agree that versatile encourages creativity. I think people who at comfortable with being different are just fantastic, I love to see tall women wearing high heels and the ones that are not wearing flats and just generally people not conforming to norms and finding a place for them under the sun. The more versatile the world gets, the richer it becomes!

    1. Thank you doll, I agree. We need variety to grow. I think it's ok to like certain things, but you should always keep an open mind to everything, because you never know when you might change or be able to adapt what you don't like into something you do. We don't need boxes around ourselves, we should leave those at home. :))

  22. Kizzy, I have a new respect for you. You had a fractured foot and kept on playing. You go girl! You are SPUNKY! I've always admired the relationship between you and your husband. I think it's so awesome. I wish for that some day. I keep meeting clowns. LOL I wish I could laugh at my mistakes. I'm like your husband and get mad/frustrated. We both need to be more lighthearted. Life is too short. This was great. Happy weekend my friend.

  27. I love these posts about you, you're a very interesting and has many "shades", I agree with you not to talk much, I can listen patiently to someone, but when that person speaks ill of others, then I think she does the same with me, surely she speak ill of me when she meets with other people. I hate gossip! Happy weekend, dear Lady!

  33. I enjoyed knowing this little bit more about you!I wouldn't have bet you were a soccer player doll!! Sadly my new neighbour is always judging other people, and I stare at her in disbelief when she does this because I think that when someone has so much time to spend scrutinizing others, then we don't have much to talk about. I'm looking forward to watching Downton Abbey too!!!

  34. You deserve this award, your blog is full of life, thoughts and inspiration. I honestly cannot keep up with the hard work a popular blog require. In This post I relate to some of the facts about yourself, I also laugh when shit happens and when I am shocked or nerves and that annoy the people around me. I also adored the iron gaint ( We had a different name for it in Arabic), it was my favoraite when I was a kid I even used to pause the scran to kiss the little boy hahaha and I cried when it ended. http://hind-toufga.blogspot.se/

  35. These random facts are quite interesting and endearing, especially the fact that you and your husband are best friends and email each other back and forth while he was at work! And it's funny how other people may perceive us sometimes and how we perceive ourselves; sometimes we think we are exactly the opposite of how we are perceived. It certainly is important to filter out the negative perceptions and replace them with positive ones. I have to do this at times too, that is, filter out other peoples' not so positive perceptions of myself. -Jess L
