Happiness is within your reach....

Happy Monday dolls!! I hope your weekend was magic!! I had a wonderful weekend, Saturday started with some rain showers, but then turned into a magical day of pastel colours in the sky with sunlight streaming through, the rain left a rainbow and I spent some time walking along the water taking in the brisk & energetic cool air. I'm keeping those winter blues away with sweet colours & positive thoughts. I hope your new year has started off greatly & if not, there is no time like now to turn it around & continue on the way you wish too!! Maybe the tips below can help you!?! Have a wonderful Monday dolls, let no one steal the sunshine in your heart!!

Happy Things for a happy life

Show appreciation - be thankful for what you have already more than what you wish to have. Chances are, you'll discover you really do have a lot to be grateful for. Sometimes we realize we have more than we thought, when we stop to think on it, instead of wishing for others have. Look outside yourself, there are millions of people who have next to nothing, but find happiness in the simple things that come their way.

Express positivity -  Even when things are going in the wrong direction, try and find that silver lining that can bring out something positive from the situation, a lesson learned, a strength gained, a positive attitude can keep a clear mind to help you solve the problem in a better, more fruitful way.

Avoid over thinking & comparing yourself to others - I can drive myself crazy over thinking & more times than others, my first thought, was the right one all along. Just go with the flow & if it doesn't work, try another idea. But, don't get so worked up, it will only cloud your mind & make it more difficult. And never compare yourself to someone else, things in their life might look better than yours from the outside, but you don't know what they've gone through to get to this point. We all have talents & it's a waste not to use them trying to compare to someone else's...we're the giant puzzle of life & every piece is needed to complete it. Comparison is the thief of joy, work to improve, do better, expand & reach. This is your time, not someone else's. You are unique, embrace & cherish that!

Acts of Kindness - Sometimes giving out kindness, gets you kindness in return. When you fill yourself with kindness, you leave no room to worry about things. It creates an on going chain of positivity. And I'm talking about real kindness, where you do something with no thought of receiving something in return, selfless kindness. We live in a world where it's becoming rare for anyone to do anything without expectation. The difference is astounding when you reach out and do something without wanting something back. Help a family member, a neighbour or even someone when your out and about. It'll not only make others feel good, but you'll feel good too.

Nurture relationships - Spend quality time with family & friends, ask how they are & talk about things going on in your life. And listen as much as you speak. Sometimes we only send a short email or text here & there and then wonder why relationships flutter away. Go out with your loved ones & do something fun together. Time is how relationships flourish and grow.

Let the Negative Go - Whether it be thoughts, actions or people. Negative things have a way of creeping in and bringing us down. What we think, eventually becomes what we believe ourselves to be. It creates a negative cycle that spills out into everything we do. We need to retrain ourselves to think better, positive thoughts turn into positive habits & outlooks. Start each day with a positive thought for the day, repeat it like a mantra to put good vibes into your mind. Even if things don't go right in the day, react positively, don't make it worse through negative thoughts, do your best & be proud of that. Life isn't always flowers & sunshine, but it can have more of those moments when you let the negatives be what they are, learn from them and move on!

Savour the little joys in life - Good books, favourite foods, flowers, a note from a loved one, great movies, trees, rainbows after rain, the list could go on and on, when you start noticing the little things around, you start realizing there is so much more in this life that brings happiness. Dwell on the good things, let the bad go.

Set goals & commit to them - This is why resolutions sometimes never work, we set goals and then we give up on them, either we get lazy or we find them too hard & back down. Be realistic in your goal setting, don't go crazy & put down something that needs years to do. Sometimes starting off with small goals, lead to the bigger ones you want to reach for. And don't be hard on yourself if things work out differently than you planned, opportunity is everywhere. It isn't how many times you get knocked over, it's the getting back up & carrying on that determines how far you'll go!

Recognize things bigger than yourself - this can be through beliefs, getting in touch with nature, space, the stars. Some people live in a self-centered world, but there is so much more to this life than our backyards. Different cultures, people, history all over the world waiting to be discovered. Our lives are so fragile, they can come & go in a blink of an eye...live it in a way that's worth being remembered for!

Take care of your body - eat healthy, get enough rest, take a break from the electronics and venture outside for fresh air when you can. Exercise & remember size means nothing, being healthy for your specific age & height is what matters. Bodies are like machines and need nourishment and love to function at their best inside & out! And remember to speak kindly of yourself as well - everyone of us is deserving of love & care! If you can't accept yourself as you are, you'll never be happy with anything you do or size you are. Having a healthy & positive acceptance of yourself is what matters most. Forget what the world says - you are the captain of your ship..so to speak. The world is the stage & this is your time to shine!

    1. Hello my dear!! You're welcome. It can be hard doll, but when we make these things more of a routine and part of our life, they become easier to do, like second nature. Takes a lot of dedication and patience!! Everyone has hard times, but it's the getting back up to go on that determines what kind of person you are :) Happy Monday, I hope you have a blissful week :) Kisses xo

    1. Well, I think it very well will be impossible for anyone to do these tips, if they think in their minds already that it's impossible. You've shot yourself in the foot already, stopped before you've begun. And I believe anyone can do these things, I do them. It wasn't easy at first, but when you practice, you can do all things. But, if you think you can't, well you can't! I hope you have a blessed week ahead xx

  23. I'm glad your weekend turned out well Kizzy.
Thank you for the inspiration and reminders today! We should really appreciate everything we have and stop comparing it to other people around us. We can never be the best, the richest - there will always be someone else with that title. But we should be happy with what we have and the people around us.When we take care of ourselves and those we love, then we really make the most out of life!

  33. There are so many incredible and positive reminders in here! Unfortunately, I think it's easier to dwell on the negative - things you're not good at, areas you need to work on, etc. versus just being present and happy within a moment or within yourself. I'm another over-thinker and it is seriously my downfall once that anxiety turns me into the absolute worst version of myself. I'm definitely going to work on being kind to myself, and treating myself well - I also struggle with body image, so I've got to stop beating myself up! :)
You are beautiful and these reminders are absolutely what I need!

    1. I responded on your page, but I just wanted to send you some more love <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 You deserve love doll, repeat it to yourself until you believe it!! I have been at the bottom of the floor ready for my end because life was hitting me left and right, I've been through the highs and lows, dragged through the dirt. Negative all around, eating disorders, abuse - physical, sexual and mental. And no moment is more important than the one you take when you decide to say No!! You decide to tell the negative things that you're not going to take any more and you fight back. It may take every day, every moment to get there, but you will. There is so much ahead than what we leave behind. I promise. Take the dark days as lessons. Learn to love yourself, because it is your greatest weapon against the world. Love is more powerful than all things & it has taken being on the floor unable to stand up to learn this lesson. You are loved, now it's time to show that love to yourself!! You are beautiful doll!! <33 All love & hugs to you <333

  59. Yes, setting goals is always the way to go, I prefer them rather than resolutions for the New Year, etc. I think more people should also show more acts of kindness. I cannot stand when people don't even say, "thank you." If you're living, there's always a reason to have joy, even in the worst day. My favourite is the Emerson quote! Enjoy your week.

  60. Such an amazing post! The tips for a happier life is something that we can all need in our day to day life. The biggest problem we have, I think, is that we look to negatively on things. We always put ourselves down and think that everybody else is much better, prettier, thinner, smarter... the list can go on and on. On a day when I didn't feel so happy with myself, J, my boyfriend, gave me a real wake-up call. He said "You are so beautiful, lovely and sexy, and you know why? Because you are yourself." It was the most lovely thing anyone has ever said to me. That's what we should focus on, being ourselves and not like everyone else. That's what makes us happy! I wish you a lovely day, my dear!

  69. I love all the pictures as usually, but the illustration of the pink haired girl with the bunnies in her hair is stuck in my head since I visited this post first yesterday. I would love so much to have that one hanging on my wall. It would really help against getting moody, because just like you I believe that sweet pastels are a great antidote. Your advice for a happy life couldn't be more accurate, maybe I should hang it next to the bunny girl to the wall, in a pink frame ;-) During stressful times it's so easy to forget those things, so it's necessary to be reminded. Have a lovely week my darling girl <3<3<3<3

They really express things I believe I myself should focus on, particularly, "show appreciation" and "nurture relationships". Those are two things I can and should do better with this year and forward. -Jess L
