Before I went away on my break, I came across a designer who instantly took me by surprise. For several moments, I thought I had stumbled across a very famous designer and that I had just been living under a rock with no clue. I was immediately taken away from reality and engulfed in a world of delicate colours melting with reflective materials, cascades of sea greens drifting down as if they had reached their crescendo and were returning to their floating bliss.
Over-sized knitted jumpers that engulf the senses with their sugary-sweet measures that at the same time says, 'Here I am, look at me'. Sugar sweet princess that have left their clouds to venture to lands unseen only to fall in love with space and it's irregular forms and shapes. One of the things I love most about creativity is that you can create anything you want, you can be anything you want. There are no rules or boundaries - only different ways of thinking. If you dream it, you can create it & this is completely what this collection says to me.
Amber Louise, 24 from Nottingham, England has cleverly intertwined the worlds of Eco Fashion with those of using intricate and bold couture dress-making techniques with dedicated skill and precision. She creatively designs salvaging and using old, damaged textiles that would otherwise be discarded and up-cycles them, giving new life, purpose and best of all, beauty. Clothing that sparkles, moves like waves, reflects light from all directions whilst keeping that delicate and eye-catching appeal.
In a world where we are consistently surrounded by waste, I have a lot of respect for her approach and sticking to it whole heartily. It would have been easy for her to use brand new fabrics and materials and not incur the problems that using old materials can bring about - i.e. stains, colour matching, enough fabric and so on. But, she has shown us that old can be new again with just a change of perception & determination.
I, for one and completely in love with them, I love invention and creativity. I feel we need creative minds like Amber Louise, to keep the fashion world churning to produce new ideas and concepts, not just repeat the ones already done & also give us new ways of reducing waste and breathing new beauty into the discarded. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do, feel free to check out her portfolio for more because it's amazing. The first two pieces are my favourites, so beautiful and ethereal. You can also say hello to Amber-Louise on her Instagram & see 'behind the scenes' type pictures or email too. Have a gorgeous day dolls,

How have you been? It's SO hot here now- it's supposed to be 100 degrees outside tomorrow!!!!! Crazy!!!! With all the autumn fashion in magazines and stores- the blistering heat makes those items difficult to look at!!!!
Hope you're having a terrific week!!!!
