This year I will be unstoppable, this year I will be fierce!

Hello my lovelies...Happy Wednesday!! I hope you are well!?! I thought I'd share some New Year's goals with you, I don't do resolutions really as they tend to stress a person out or become un-realistic, so I usually think on things from the past year that I'd like to improve on and go from there. That way they are no limits, no completion times, it's only meant as a way of improving my life and well being. So, below are small handful I've thought of to do throughout the year! What are your resolutions/changes you'd like to make this year!?! Let me know in your comment...I hope you enjoy...have a great Wednesday dolls!!

~ Be Happy ~
Not to say that I'm not happy...because I am very much happy! I'm more talking about not letting others toxic thinking/moods creep in on my happiness. Guard myself against those people, walk away from them & keep my shine and smile. The world can be full of negatives (either people or otherwise) that can cloud your mind, I must remind myself it is them & not me and not let them rain on my parade so to speak! Just keep counting my blessings & live in the moment.

~ Well Being - Exercise/Meditation/Sleep/Eat Better ~
My eating habits are usually quite good, I love sweets, but lately I've been attacking the sugar and it's not good - health wise, so I need to go back to limiting my intake of sugar. Because I'm feeling sluggish and less alert at times. Also get back to exercising, I feel great when the blood gets pumping, I sleep better, I'm more alert. Getting out for walks in the fresh air more often is much needed. Plus, I got some awesome new trainers, so I need to break them in on non-rainy days. I need to get more rest, this is not always my fault, I have a 3 year old that sometimes doesn't want to go to bed, but once she does, I need to go to bed instead of watching one more show or looking at my phone. Meditation, I used to do this every day, just have quiet time and do breathing techniques & I stopped. But, it's good to clear the mind and get centered again. Also, I could do with more relaxing bubble baths in my life with face masks & candles, haha!

~ Wear more lipstick ~
Not a very serious one, but I've love lipstick since a child, I used to go and put it on or my Aunt would always put some on me when she freshened her's up. It was something I always thought was quite glamorous and fun. I used to wear lipstick a lot and loved it, then stopped giving myself time to do it, I think because of having children, which is silly. So, I'd like to wear it again, because even if my hair is a mess or I am cleaning the house, I can look and feel a bit glammed up in my lipstick.

~ Wear more of my wardrobe ~
Seriously, I have stuff in my wardrobe that has never been worn, sometimes in a rush I grab the fastest easiest thing, so I need to organize and rotate my wardrobe regularly so I'm wearing more of my clothes & seeing less items with tags on them. Other stuff I'll donate to charity or sell on eBay. I also have a lot of really pretty lingerie in my drawers that still have the tags on them too *hangs head* Why oh why are they still in there unworn, I don't know. I find them & say 'oooh that's gorgeous, need to wear that' and then I forget, ha! So I must improve this, even if it means laying out my clothes the night before to help. Wearing pretty things makes one feel good and if you feel good, you are happier! Stop waiting for a night out to wear them...do it now, because Life itself is the party!

~ Read more books ~
My book count was shameful last year, and I love books. Blogging and computers can take up too much time, so I'd like to get back to reading more books. While I'm eating lunch or just having quiet time, grab a book and get some pages in every day, even if it's just a chapter or two, it's refreshing for the mind to escape for a bit. My books to read list is mighty long, so I need to get checking them off!

~ Create ~
I used to make art all the time, whatever popped in my head to make & since becoming a mother & starting this blog, I haven't taken the time really to create as I used to, so I want to schedule more time to do that, even if it means vanishing from here from time to time for a few days until I work a routine in. Then I can show you what I've been doing. But, I need to go back to doing that as I find a lot of joy in creating, I have pages and pages of ideas that need to come to life!

  1. I love how you have set goals rather than resolutions! Resolutions always seem so limiting don't they? Good luck achieving these in the new year!

  4. Hi Kizzy! This is a great goals list! I can relate to "wear more of my wardrobe"! I have beautiful clothes - and shoes! - I've never worn, so I'm going to borrow this goal from you LOL! And of course keep feeling happy and count my blessings too, that's the most important thing! I would love to see your "books to read" list :-). xx

And I totally agree with all your intentions, they are my same thoughts. Especially, dont be influenced by negative and toxic people; and to create more. 12. Inspiring posts, I totally agree with all of you points...Taking time for ourselves is always important as well as taking care of our health. In that way we can be more productive and have more energy for reading and creative work ...ourselves and others...

  23. Brilliant list my dear Kizzy....I applaud you! Must say I have fallen prey to quite a few things you mentioned that should be steered clear of....but being a Buddhist I am always reminded that it should be about the present moment. So this year insead of making resolutions I decided to recreate an idea I saw....I made a creative vision board to stick up on my wall. Shall blog about it soon...but made me realise as a Zen Yoga teacher I should be leading the example of positive body image and compassion...things to spin up on my blog for 2015!

  26. Kizzy, these are fabulous goals! I'll help you with the lipstick one! HaHaHa But seriously, I had a bunch of negative people in my life years ago and I whittled away deleting all of them. I wasn't learning from them (I turned to blogging), nor were they making me happy. So you have to delete people that are not enhancing you. You should get out more. I don't think its because you don't want to, but more so the weather. But on those days you can exercise, yoga, meditate inside. Social Media takes up SO MUCH TIME! I check instagram in the morning and then at night. People have been on there ALL DAY! LOL I'm like, what else did you get done today? HAHAHA Again, great goals. I have five books looking at me too! Make more time for YOU doll!

  35. A lovely post dear. I also have some much needed improvements I want to make this year. I want to learn to be less self centered & give more. I also want to draw closer to the Lord & read my Bible more often. Sometimes we draw so much into ourselves and troubles that we don't see the beauty of life. Let's support each other on our self storage improvements. :) xoxo

  45. I don't like New Year resolutions either. But the beginning of a new year still feels like a fresh start to change things you don't like about yourself for the better! Wearing lipstick is something that really brightens everything up - especially red, or another vibrant color. It's funny how just painting your lips makes you look so put together. Like you've spent hours in front of the mirror. Haha! A good quick-fix! :) And if you put those nice pieces of lingerie on top of everything in your lingerie drawer they will be the first thing you see when you open it. THEN you will remember to wear them! :D xoxoxoxoxoxoxo
