{The Powder Room} Margarita Bloom - Cupcake Love Soap

Two of my favourite things are cupcakes & strawberries, so what better than to have the two combined in a gorgeous soap! Kim from A Very Sweet Blog sent me some marvellous goodies from Margarita Bloom and this cupcake love soap was one of the items I received. I can most likely eat my body weight in cupcakes, so I was very excited to try this soap out. I tend to use gel soaps instead of bar soaps, but I couldn't resist the cupcake (as usual) Instantly I loved the packaging, Margarita Bloom always has the cutest packaging, the kind that catches your eye and is perfect for setting out to display in your bathroom.

I appreciated the marvellously sweet scent that drifts out even before you've opened the box. It was all wrapped in the prettiest paper, I love those details. The cupcake bar is big enough to get a lot of uses out of just like any bar of soap, but small enough to fit in the palm of your hand to prevent it slipping, which I liked a lot. The scent is so gorgeous, sweet but not too sweet and just has a hint of actual soap scent. What you smell on the cupcake soap itself is a lot stronger than what gets left on your skin, you're left with something like a delicately faded cupcake scent. Which I found quite lovely as I don't like strong aromas as they gives me headaches. Filled with various oils such as coconut oil and soothing goats milk to lather up with. One thing I did noticed after the bath is that my skin didn't feel tight or itchy as many soaps tend to dry my skin out and leave it irritated, which is usually why I use bath gels instead of soaps, so that was appreciated.

Also, a very good thing about this cupcake soap, is that it doesn't lose it's shape (eventually it will get smaller from use) but, what I mean is it doesn't turn into a pile of mushy soap after using, it keeps it's cupcake shape, but just gets smaller, so I was very happy for that, because no one wants a pile of mushy soap, haha!! (I just let it air dry & wrapped it back up & put in the box) It's so decadent and I would definitely get it to use again, who doesn't love cupcakes!?! The only sad thing is, that it makes me want to sit and eat cupcakes all day & this one is not for eating, haha!!

I'm a huge fan of Margarita Bloom, I have a few more goodies from her shop to share with you soon! Do be sure to have a browse on the the Margarita Bloom website, it's the cutest beauty site I've seen in a long time & I always have smile on my face reading the names of the products, if you sign up to the mailing list, you get 10% off your first order, which is great & definitely worth it! They only ship to the USA, Canada, United Kingdom, and Australia right now, but if your an international customer and interested in some goodies, you can contact them and they'll have a talk with you & see if they can get you some goodies sent! Isn't that sweet!?! I think it's wonderful :)

I gave Margarita Bloom's cupcake love soap a Sizzling Heart ♥

(Rating scale: Sizzling Heart - Go & buy it, Hot Hot Heart - It's good, but not perfect, Lukewarm Heart - there were issues, I might buy it again, Frozen Heart - Do not buy, it was terrible)

  2. It's so cute! How wonderful that it keeps its shape, that's one of the worst things with bar soap when they get all mushy.
    Now I'm craving cupcakes.
