Happy Wednesday beauties!! We are off to sunny skies (obviously not in real life, I wish, but we can pretend right!?!) where the air is breezy, we're laying on a beach of warm sands with a fruity drink in our hands and nothing but relaxation on our minds. There's a delicate floral scent in the air that lulls the senses to peacefulness...what is it you say!?! Well, it's only our wonderful Smitten Kitten Shirley Sweet Pea Body Oil that we applied after our sunscreen *wink* Who wants to smell like sunscreen when trying to relax!?! Not me :)
Now that I have you all relaxed and interested, I wanted to share this marvellous body oil that I received in my gift box from Kim of A Very Sweet Blog!! I wanted to try this especially because last year when I went to Sir Walter Scott's home in the summer, there were sweet peas in the garden & the scent was amazing, so I had been on a mission to find that same scent or close enough to it and this IS that scent, I was so so happy and excited after trying it!!
Such a gorgeous aroma, not too heady, but strong enough, the consistency is light to medium heavy, but blends well into the skin. Pending on your skin type, I would say this is perfect for dry/dehydrated skins, balanced skin types could use this with no problem too, oily skin may find it too much, but could use just a tiny amount on concentrated areas like your elbows, knees, heels and so on! I used this throughout winter when the weather was very harsh under my day to day cream and it worked a treat. Now that it's warming up, I still use it on its own after a bath to lock in moisture and that's all I need. Or if your like me, just dab some on your pulse points because this delicious scent can double as a perfume. It's so decadent and fresh, I feel like I've been at the beach all day, it just gives off that atmosphere of fun and relaxation. I need everything with this scent in it, haha!! You will need to wipe your hands after using it or rub the excess on your limbs, as it does leave them a tad greasy but it's oil, so obviously that is going to happen, haha!
Seriously, as I said before in my last review of this brand, I really love everything that I've gotten so far! It's been worth randomly picking things to try & I will most definitely try more. This Sweet Pea oil comes in a 3oz./88ml bottle costing $25, I use dime size amounts of it at a time and it's lasted me a long time, as you don't need to use a lot. Margarita Bloom ships to the UK, America, Canada & Australia, if there is somewhere you'd like them to ship, send them a message & they can help you out! I would most definitely use this again, so I'm giving this a Sizzling Heart <3 It smells amazing and works great!! Am super happy with it.
I gave Margarita Bloom's Smitten Kitten Shirley Sweet Pea Body Oil a Sizzling Heart ♥
(Rating scale: Sizzling Heart - Go & buy it, Hot Hot Heart - It's good, but not perfect, Lukewarm Heart - there were issues, I might buy it again, Frozen Heart - Do not buy, it was terrible)
Have a wonderful & sunny day my dolly-pops!!

ReplyDeleteThis really sounds wonderful! A sunny beach, with all the lovely scents in brings, is just what I need right now! :) Yesterday actually felt a bit like summer here in Stockholm, but today it's colder again. *Sigh*... Bring on the heat!!! :) xxxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing better than a scent that reminds you of a certain place, I remember having something like that when I was younger but they've sadly discontinued the fragrance. I've not tried a body oil before but I can see that it would be great for the coming summer months, will have to check out Smitten Kitten, sweet pea scent sounds absolutely divine! <3
