| Dainty Label Love | Candydrip

Just a little while ago I was browsing around on Instagram and came across something I had never seen before. Silicone infused handmade clothing created by Candydrip. Their not just pieces of clothing, but actual art pieces you can wear and that made them all the more brilliant to me. I love art and I love new ideas and ways of using different materials to create. 
The choice of colours and the way the silicone was used is what caught my eye at first glance. Mixing the silicone with the fabrics so they mesh together to create this dripping effect is perfect. Created by Genavieve a designer based out of Brooklyn, NY. She has an undergrad degree in Industrial Design from North Carolina State University with training in molding/casting and special effects makeup techniques from Complections International Makeup Academy in Toronto, Canada. But, for me it's clear to see her talent and creativity has been with her since birth. 
My favourite pieces have to be the chokers (you can see them on the website, didn't want to show you everything), the stockings below and this piece in the first picture below, their other-worldly really, I think that's why I love them. The silicone takes every day pieces to wear and gives them a different dimension and edge. Items can be made to order to get the best fit and shipping is world-wide. You can also get them made in a wide range of colours or a completely custom order, so the possibilities are endless. Why walk around wearing something everyone else already has!?! When you can literally walk around wearing a piece of art to suit your personality. I absolutely love this idea & look forward to how it will evolve and progress.
