Wearable Art | Lirika Matoshi

She walks in beauty, so the poem goes...and quite literally when your wearing these ethereal creations of beauty by Lirika Matoshi. A few days ago I shared some of these jaw-droppingly beautiful fishnet stockings on my Instagram and everyone went crazy for them & it's no wonder why. 
I've never seen anything like them, its as though by magic she cast her nets and gathered all the different beauty of the world - nature, gems, stars and fashioned them into wearable pieces of art. All lovingly designed and sewn by hand in New York for those who want to dazzle the scene. At first glance these designs might look simple but, when you look at in terms of hand sewing every applique, the intricacies are boundless. Especially on something such as fish nets, getting fish nets on is a task enough, so creating stunning scenes through sewing for me is a win. 

For me their like little reminders to seek out the beauty of the day and if you can't find any, create it! I love the influences of nature through flowers, bees and stars, they fit in perfectly with my aesthetic and excitement for Spring. I can imagine them worn with many different styles of outfits. Worn on their own or even over a solid colour of tights to add even more pop. If you want to turn heads and drop jaws, I would definitely treat myself to a pair of these, you will also find equally stunning handmade socks, chokers, gloves & headpieces. So, what do you think?
