" DRINK FROM THE WELL OF YOURSELF AND BEGIN AGAIN"  CHARLES BUKOWSKI.

Hello there...it's been a very long time since I have sat down and typed anything for this dainty blog and I would like to change that. I miss my blog, I've been very busy since I moved house, there was and still is a ton of things to re-do in it but, I'm absolutely enjoying decorating and putting it just as I envisioned in my mind when I viewed the place with my husband. We finally have our own proper garden and lots more space. I've spent all these months doing diy bit by bit. I'm hoping to share the progress on here as I go, any of it that I've already done while away, I'll still share as I took pictures of the rooms beforehand.

Throughout the time that I've been away, I've learned a great deal more about myself, some things I already knew but, we're empathised by being away. One is that I don't really like following a schedule to be creative or to share creative things. I think in social media, creative people are consistently pushed and pushed to put out new content all the time, with everything that they do or they'll lose followers or they just plainly get forgotten. It's like you're only as interesting as your last post and most of the people barely stopped to enjoy or take in that post, they just wanted to kamikaze like it, so that you would in turn like their photo or other type of post and one thing I've learned from this pandemic is that we need to slow down and take things in better, so that we can properly savour them and imprint that moment to our memories, because the moments are so fleeting. I am not a number and neither are you...so please never think you have to stretch yourself thin in order to succeed or exist!

I'm excited to get back to sharing in this space, all of the things that I love like, art and other forms of creativity. It might take me a while to visit blogs as I kept track of follows through bloglovin and I can't for the life of me remember what my password is, so I will need to sort that out again but, if you should comment, leave your blog like in the comment as I should like to visit you as soon as I can!! My blog will go back to sharing an array of things..it might be books, poetry, places, art, music, my outfits or anything that might randomly come to my mind. But, I want to have a variety...because it's the spice of life right??

I want to keep this short as I'm just getting my feet back into this place but, I will aim to post at least once a week but, no pressure to myself or anyone else. I just want to have fun and document fun things. So, I hope you have a fantastic Friday & weekend to follow. Be kind to yourselves and each other.

  1. Welcome back dear! I agree with what you said. It's important to follow our own pace, especially when it comes to creative pursuits.

  2. I agree with your vision of the blog and I personally never think of this last post about other bloggers, I am interested in some more. Even being a routine/schedule focused person myself I often find myself being forced into creativity when I don't really feel like only because I do have the said schedule. I think it's easier for me because my job is on the creative side (I'm a pro-photographer) and I can't really make my clients wait before it's "the right time" to me. it does make blogging easier. that and stock piling content when I feel inspired
I also feel you about the move, it is SO stressful, yet it brings a lot of joy, I do I like it.

  3. Hey Sis. . . I'm still blogging over at www.mtoomuch.com. I had to change back to blogger because wordpress was too expensive for my lack of readership. Enjoy May. . .

  4. Welcome back lovely Kizzy! You've been missed and I look forward to all the dreamy inspirations you'll be sharing again. Congratulations on your move. Setting up a new house can be so much work but it's worth it when you get it just the way you want it. Have fun and enjoy the process! I have also learned to slow down during the pandemic and I don't think I'll ever go back to the overextending myself in any way.
