Make a difference...A little goes a long way!

Good Monday wonders! I hope your weekend was marvellous...I spent mine by the brisk shores of Loch Lomond, watching the ducks chase one another and the water crash over the rocks. I adore Loch Lomond most at this time of year, the leaves turn golden and the hills shine in the light like diamonds. The air is brisk and clear, rushing through the lungs to clear away the congestions of busy life. I love how nature can revive one's self in just a matter of moments. Which made me think of how or what we give to others we may come in contact with, either in person or through our blogs. Do we leave people feeling great or worse than when they came!?! Sometimes I find the blogging world just as selfish and tiresome as the everyday world. We leave notes of 'follow me' or harsh words because we do not like the outfit someone has chosen. Have we really become such heartless & foul creatures!?! Surely not, I hope. We should in turn see that how we treat others sets the pace for how they might treat someone else. We're all connected, we can easily make another's world better from a smile or kind word. We can easily keep this blogging world set apart from the outside world and not tear each other down for shallow reasons, we can start a revolution. Because what we do, does make a difference and I for one will not follow the rest, but live each day as if what I do effects someone else. Imagine what the world would become if all of us did just that....Have a wonderful Monday sunshines!!

xoxo

  1. That starfish story is beautiful Doll, all of these photos are, the last one moved me too. I agree with you about our selfishness in the blogging world but there is also a lot of good such as your wonderful blog. People who are needlessly rude or who only comment looking for views and followers are the bane of this community though, hate that.

  16. Everyone should start their days by reading this blog post - every day! :) It's weird that we almost have to be reminded to treat others well to actually do it. And today it's even difficult when you meet a stranger who wants to help you with something - and not getting anything in return...I met a man from India who was like that. He had done amazing things for people he had met, and wanted to help. Even I didn't trust him at first - because there are so few of these people left in the world. But after talking to him for a long time I realized he was actually genuine! Wish more people were like that... xox

  18. Amazing post, darling! As you said, I think each blog is the perfect reflection of the owner, so we might find a little bit of everything, like in life. At the same time, it's beautiful when you find a real connection and you feel that they are following you with their 'heart'. But let's all work to be more real and human. Let's make a better world one post and one comment at a time! :) Have an awesome week darling! XOXO

  19. Kizzy,

This is a wonderful post! I also agree with you on how heartless people can be in not only the blogging world but the world in general. It is so sad...sometimes I can't believe that people can be so mean spirited and cruel. I go to bed at night and wonder what God must think when he looks down to earth and think that if I feel this way, think how disappointed he must feel. :)

Have a glorious week Kizzy! :)♥♥

  30. I don't want to be false with any blog comment that I leave, but at the same time, I don't see the point in being mean just for the sake of being mean. So I do hope that as bloggers we can keep this community strong and positive like this post.

  31. Kizzy, I love that you took the time to express what you see in the blog world, it's so true and it bothers me sometimes, how cruel people can be to others. Thank you for always inspiring me! Happy happy Monday to you!

  32. You are so right Kizzy! Words can truly "injure" someone. They should always be chosen wisely. There are some blogs I have stopped reading, because the individual has been so unkind to others. Thanks so much for your kind words and thoughts, I truly do appreciate it. ((hug)) Glad you had an awesome weekend!

  38. I adore this post--I feel it really came from the heart. And now and then, I feel the same way. The "follow me, I'll follow you" nonsense, commenting just to get more comments. I try to stay positive about everything I post; things I do not like I don't post about! It's that simple.
It sounds like you had a fab weekend. Take care, darling.

  40. Well said .. and dove tails nicely with my last post. It is so unfortunate when people feel the need to hurt, or be-little others for their personal gain. I believe insecurity is at the root of a lot of things. You are genuine :) and I always look forward to your posts. We need to stick together and support one another. The more you give.. the more you get back.

  50. Happy Tuesday beautiful Kizzy!!!!!!
First off- I wanted to thank you SO much for leaving such amazing & kind comments of the blog feature Bag Bragger did of me- I appreciate your sweet words!!!!!
I totally agree with you in this post!!!! I can't tell you how many comments I get on various blog posts that say:
"Hi- nice post. If you follow me- I promise to follow back!"
It's very clear they went to tons of blogs and left the same generic comment on tons of blogs to see how many followers they can collect. I never respond to those bloggers because they're clearly in it for large statistics and don't care about the person writing the blog. I don't have thousands of followers or get hundreds of comments on my blog posts but I'm proud to say I have gotten to know many of my followers and have made some wonderful friends (like you!)....
Fabulous post Kizzy!!!!! All bloggers need to read it!!!!!!!
    Hugs!!!!!! Shannon
