Good Monday dolls! Well, the weather continued on it's cold state here, so I spent most of it inside. Sometimes you really do need to make your own sunshine. We played games, watched shows & ate strawberry tarts & pretended it was lovely outside. This is the craziest weather we've had. But...we'll be positive it'll go soon A colour that always gets me in the mood for spring is yellow, I've been looking at yellow vintage dresses lately. It doesn't have to be really bright, just a little is enough for me to sit in while at the beach basking in the sunshine (when it comes) and listening to the waves crash over the rocks. Wearing a bit of yellow means I can take the sunshine wherever I go & remember the feelings it brings, so that I may pass that happiness on to those I meet. I hope you find sunshine in your hearts to share with others too...have a great day!!

DeleteYellow is definitely a Spring colour and this post made me smile and (until I looked out the window) for get the rubbish weather outside. I stayed inside for most of the weekend as I felt a little low and it was just so cold and (what makes it worse) wet that I simply couldn't face it. I'm really hoping that Spring will make an appearance soon as this is starting to get me down... Have a lovely day xo

Wonderful post! I hope spring comes to you soon--but good for you for knowing how to bring it inwardly. All that yellow, and the brilliant quotes, are quite a wonderful counterbalance to the dregs of winter that are hanging on for you.
ReplyDeleteI live where the sun almost always shines, and sometimes we feel (especially in summer) that it is too much. We have to find our inner gray and coolness, in contrast. Isn't it wonderful how human beings are able to strive for these ways to balance things out?
An amazing choice of images!

I just realized we've had almost FIVE months of winter in Sweden thins year! That's insane! Almost half a year...And when more snow fell last week, many of us felt like moving to another country... ;) But today the sun is shining, and the temperature is above freezing point, so even if there's still too much snow, at least it FEELS a little bit like spring. LET IT COME!!!!! :) xoxoxoxox
ReplyDeleteand... If I can't have love, I'll take sunshine. A favorite quote, I can't remember by whom though.

My dear this is the shade of yellow I love too: it's warm and delicate. I've recently purchased a pair of trousers that I will soon style (hopefully as I'm wearing a wool jumper right now) but they are of a brighter colour than I meant. The pictures you have selected are gorgeous. Lots of love sweetie!!
