{The Powder Room} Mememe Makeup Review

As you know from last Friday's post, I won some Mememe beauty products from Emma at Fluff & Fripperies!! I've spent some time trying them out, so I wanted to share my thoughts about them with you today. I must admit I had never heard of this company before, but it is always fun to try something new.

The items I received were the Eye Inspire Catwalk Quad Collection in 'Ocean Eyes' & 'Fire Eyes' and also the Shimmer Stack in 'Bronze'. The eyeshadows come in at £6.50 and the shimmer stack comes in at £9.99. Mememe have been going since December 2009. The inspiration for the brand ranges from the philosophies and influences of the Ancient Greeks on the modern world, the beauty and elegance of the Renaissance, where women were adored, to the free-minded and adventurous spirit of the Bohemians...all things I very much adore!

I love that these Eye Inspire Catwalk Quad Collections are baked and can be used wet or dry to create bold and stunning eyes. I personally feel it makes them easier to apply with no powdery fly-aways getting all over. The colour is intense, so pending on the look you want, just keep building on the colours. I did a few swipes of each colour on my eyes and even on my tan skin, it stands out without looking like I piled it on with a shovel. I like how it blends and shimmers in the light...stunning colours!

This Shimmer Stack in 'Bronze' can be used to give a natural sunkissed look. Can be applied to cheeks, browbones and eyes lightly to give a shimmer & healthy glow. The feel of the powder on the skin is like silk, really lovely and light. I didn't feel like I was wearing anything. I'm already tan skinned, but it still gave a slightly darker, more shimmery bronze look to my skin. It didn't come out very much in pictures, so I found a spot on the underside of my arm that's lighter and as you can see under the arrow point, it gets slightly darker and more bronzed compared to above the arrow. On someone lighter, this would certainly give them a lovely tanned look to the skin, perfect for summer. I'm going to use this any ways, because I loved the bronze-like shimmer it gave to my skin, I looked like an expensive piece of jewellery, that maybe Cleopatra would have worn, haha!! I loved it, stunning product.

Overall, I loved these. The feel of them on the skin, the easy application, no mess, perfect size to carry in my bag & you can easily use these in the day and darken them for the night. Super coverage, so a little goes a long way, which means they'll last longer, so what you pay is worth it. I would definitely use these again and be interested enough to give their other products a try too. Which is why I've given these Mememe products top marks.
