{Dainty Accessories} Abbie Walsh

Hello dolls!! Happy day to you, I hope you had a wonderful weekend, mine was exhausting which is why I'm blogging today. Recently whilst browsing Instagram, I came across this amazing designer, named Abbie Walsh, that creates these very exquisite dreamy one-off fashion accessories. It was love at first sight and I am now desperately saving up to purchase one of my own treasures she creates. 

Abbie has a background in costume both in London and on American tours, working on plays, musicals, and opera on over 30 productions. I think that's why I fell so in love instantly, having grew up doing theatre and music myself, I felt a certain connection or bond with her work that just felt familiar. I adore the theatrics of each piece, sometimes fashion or life can be mundane, but her creations whisk you away into another world, and because she sources vintage pieces and breathes new life and dazzle into them, they carry a story of old and modern. You're not only wearing someone else's memories, you're wearing Abbie's too and that to me is worth so much more than most over produced modern fashions, this is real heart & soul. 

Her collections are one-off pieces, so you're always going to have something so unique, she is also available for commissions which will also be one-off pieces too. Abbie's work has been seen in British Vogue, Porter Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire China, Glamour (French, China, Italian) & Harper's Bazaar China to name a few. 

I could go on about her work for a very long time, I love it that much. When so many people are in a rush to buy things that they'll most likely toss out the following season, it's refreshing to still see beauty like this that are treasures you'll keep for generations to come.
