Hello dolls!! For some of you if you follow me on Instagram, you will know how much I love bed jackets (and will have seen these on there after I bought them) and over the last couple months, I've been lucky to find some really brilliant ones that I am sharing with you today! I love collecting different ones from across the eras, they make a great & unique replacement for regular cardigans.
All of these beauties come from my new favourite obsession a darling Etsy shop called Effie Butterworth & I'm so in love with it, ha!! Run by the stunning Ellis in York, England - which also happens to be my one of my very favourite places (near where I used to live in Knaresborough) So, obviously I was meant to find it. Ellis specialises in beautiful vintage undergarments, accessories and ephemera. You will also find really exquisite handmade vintage style lingerie pieces too. Browsing through her shop is like daydreaming, everything is so ethereal and dreamy. I have her shop page bookmarked in my phone & laptop, haha. 
Everything I've purchased has arrived so beautifully wrapped with care in paper & ribbon - which I always keep. What I love most is that everything is so beautifully picked, even though it makes it extremely hard to choose when I have favourites, haha ;) But, that's what you want...choice! And you want to know that the seller loves what they do and has curated all these pieces with love & care.
I can't help but wonder about the dolls that wore these before me, where they lived and what their days were like. I love pieces with stories. The bottom bed jacket is pure pink silk from the 1930's. I bought it because it has an 'R' initial on it which is my Lily's initial for her middle name Rose. The blue ruffly number is from the 50's and I couldn't resist the over the top ruffle sleeves & gorgeous bow in my favourite colour. I feel like a french fancy when I wear it, hehe :) This is my after-the-party look! And lastly, this gorgeous number at the top is a 30's silk/satin cropped jacket with fabulous embroidery that sings to me dainty heart. 
These are pieces with soul and that is what I love to buy, clothes with heart & soul that speak to me.
